Join the head of the IER of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, as he discusses the Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative that targets, investigates, and (where appropriate) brings enforcement actions against employers that intentionally discriminate against U.S. workers due to a preference for temporary visa workers. Using recent case examples, the session will provide information and best practices for avoiding unlawful citizenship status discrimination.Other recent case updates will be provided that highlight the different forms of discrimination and retaliation that IERinvestigates.  

Learning Objectives:  

  • Learn best practices to avoid discrimination and common pitfalls that can lead an employer to violate the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). 

  • Learn when to call IER for free information on how to avoid discrimination under the INA.
