Learn the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and how it is being deployed in HR to source, screen, develop and engage employees. 

Artificial intelligence (AI) is penetrating every major sector, including health care, advertising, transportation, finance and education, and it is finding its way inside the workplace. HR needs to take on a leadership role in using AI to transform every aspect of the employee life cycle, from talent acquisition to new-hire onboarding, career development, performance management and coaching. This session will examine the latest research on the benefits and barriers of using artificial intelligence for HR, as well as how AI is being deployed inside the enterprise to screen and source new hires and develop and engage current employees. You’ll learn a framework to develop your AI strategy and assemble your team to identify AI proof of concepts in HR, and new HR job roles, skills and training programs you can utilize to lead your HR function in using artificial intelligence to transform the employee experience.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning and their application across the employee life cycle, from talent acquisition to new-hire onboarding, career development, internal mobility, performance management and ongoing coaching.
  • Hear how early adopters are using AI to transform the employee experience and realize business results. A number of HR case studies will be shared detailing how HR pioneers across a range of industries and company sizes are deploying artificial intelligence to enhance both the candidate and employee experience and realizing sizable business results for their organization.
  • Obtain a five-step strategic framework for getting started in using artificial intelligence for HR, beginning with creating urgency, identifying a business problem that can be solved using artificial intelligence, and then assembling a cross-functional team of business stakeholders to create a shared vision for developing proof of concepts to leverage AI for HR.
  • Identify the new job roles emerging over the next decade as artificial intelligence is integrated across the workplace. A range of new job roles that leverage both technical and human skills will be presented and discussed.
  • Leave with an understanding of how HR needs to focus on being a change agent and catalyst to prepare the organization for the new world of work.
