Promenade Level: Roman Ballroom II
Tuesday 04/17/2018 04:00 PM - 05:15 PM   Add to calendar
1.25 SHRM PDCs | Competencies: Relationship Management, Communication, Ethical Practice | Intended Audience: Mid-Level
Workplace Application:
You will learn practical tools to help you identify and address the human needs of people you interact with and create a new professional relationship based on mutual trust.

Too many HR professionals rely on process and technology, giving lip service to relationship-building while trying to connect the right people with the right jobs or the right solutions to their problems. The transactional work can lead to the commoditization of human beings if we're not careful. This session will help identify the many areas of our shared humanity that should also be addressed in order to be the most effective advisor. This session will show you:

·         New, creative ways to communicate, build trust, be a subject matter expert
to your constituents or stakeholders, and learn patience.

·         How to look beyond resume content to discover how someone could be a strong candidate for an open position.

·         How to identify and address the human needs of hiring managers, internal partners, recruiters and
          other stakeholders.
