Gain an understanding of key issues before the Wage and Hour Division so you can plan for compliance with the FLSA based on recent and expected developments and changes.

Former Wage & Hour Administrator Tammy McCutchen is back to provide a Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) update, with a focus on regulation and enforcement by the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL’s) Wage and Hour Division (WHD). What is the status of the overtime exemption regulations? Will there be an increase in the minimum salary for exemption in 2018? Are other regulatory changes on the horizon? Has WHD made changes to sub-regulatory guidance on independent contraction, joint employment, tip credit, etc.? What opinion letters has WHD issued? How has enforcement changed at WHD? In this session, you will:

  • Learn how the overtime regulations have changed or are expected to change, and what your company needs to do to comply.
  • Learn about recent changes to the DOL’s interpretation, application and enforcement of the FLSA.
  • Learn what adjustments in policies and practices your company can make to ensure compliance.
