1.25 SHRM PDCs | Competencies: Leadership & Navigation, HR Expertise, Global & Cultural Effectiveness | Intended Audience: Mid-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will offer valuable insights on talent acquisition and leadership best practices and explain how you can improve your efforts to attract talent and develop leaders.

The 2016 McQuaig Global Talent Recruitment Survey revealed that only 25 percent of HR professionals believe their leaders are truly effective. The results also exposed differences in how companies with effective leaders try to attract talent, what they are doing to develop leaders, what it means for hiring manager engagement and what companies need to do to address this crisis in leadership. This session will cover the state of talent recruitment globally and regionally, as well as strategies that companies are employing to attract talent. You will hear how HR feels about its leaders and the impact they have on attracting talent, as well as the most effective recruiting channels. You will learn:

·         Where your company resides with respect to your peers, globally, when it comes to attracting talent.

·         The state of leadership from a global HR perspective.

·         What companies are doing to attract talent and develop future leaders who will be rated as very effective.

·         Steps you can take now to begin to address the leadership, and therefore talent attraction, gap in your organization.
