1.25 SHRM PDCs | Competencies: Relationship Management, HR Expertise | Intended Audience: Mid-Level
Workplace Application:
This session will review how recruiting has evolved and will provide you with tips on how to take your talent acquisition strategy to the next level.

Just when you think you have things figured out and that you have evolved to the next stage of social media recruiting, a new generation of workers starts to appear on the landscape with different needs and expectations. The line between sales and recruiting is blurry, and the two areas often overlap. You are now dependent on your employment brand and your relationship with the marketing department (or maybe your own marketing skills) to recruit top talent. This session will show you how to:

·         Start with a “white canvas” (and how your sales team would do this).

·         Get creative—with few resources and/or a small budget.

·         Leverage internal advocates.

·         Shift from a brand-centric to a people-centric recruiting strategy.

·         Encourage all employees to be recruiters and to become brand ambassadors for your organization.
