1.25 SHRM PDCs | Competencies: Leadership & Navigation, Global & Cultural Effectiveness | Intended Audience: Senior-Level
Workplace Application:
You will obtain a framework for helping stakeholders truly understand what inclusion is and how to make it happen.

While workforces become increasingly diverse, inclusion remains a vague, abstract idea inside of most organizations. Leaders who are quick to claim they are inclusive struggle to explain what that actually means. Understandably, these leaders and organizations have a hard time figuring out what to do and what to measure. Clarity to the rescue! This session will equip you with an actionable model of inclusion, as well as a framework for assessing your organizational culture and for moving forward. You will leave this session with:

  • A clear, concise and actionable definition of inclusion.
  • An inclusion assessment that your organization can use.
  • A draft road map of what your organization can do to become more inclusive.
  • A basic set of tools to lead your organization’s efforts to aggregate the full potential and talents of your workforce.
