The re-entry simulation will require you to work through the real challenges that confront 650,000 Americans who are released from incarceration every year as they attempt to return to society and rebuild their lives. You will navigate the process of procuring housing, identification, transportation, child care, health care, employment and numerous other resources, all while meeting the conditions of probation and avoiding a return to prison. This immersive, perspective-shifting experience is appropriate for audiences from all backgrounds and has been called enlightening, infuriating, heartbreaking and truly transformative.

Learning Objectives:

  • Reframe your understanding of the challenges facing job candidates with a criminal record.
  • Learn how your organization can thoughtfully and efficiently approach the criminal-background-check process and how this process impacts your candidates.
  • Gain new insight about how your company may be limiting or discouraging talented job seekers from applying and how you can correct it.
