Workplace Application:
Whether you have five generations in your workforce or only two, learn how to build a more inclusive environment for workers of all ages.

By 2024, workers ages 50 and older will make up 35 percent of the workforce. And generational diversity in the labor market is currently at an all-time high, with members of the workforce ranging from Traditionalists to Generation Z. But should age really matter? How do you build a culture that celebrates age but doesn’t limit people by it? Striving for generational diversity is an important start, but building an age-inclusive culture allows organizations to recognize and unleash the strengths of workers of all ages—especially if opportunities for collaboration are managed well. Learn when to take age into account and when to be blind to it.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to recognize and reduce ageist attitudes in the workplace.
  • Learn what other organizations are doing to cultivate an age-inclusive workforce.
  • Learn why coaching and mentoring are crucial to developing next-generation leadership.
  • Learn how to create and manage mixed-age teams that are both inclusive and productive.
