Walk away with an understanding of the policy changes most likely to occur under the new administration.

Labor and employee relations policy has been a bumpy ride for U.S. employers over the last eight years. Are we in for a more business-friendly environment? If President Donald Trump's election victory taught us anything, it is that the only thing you can safely predict is unpredictability. Trump has promised (and already implemented) changes and reforms to help make labor policy more friendly for employers, yet his second Oval Office meeting was with labor leaders from around the country. What will the Trump administration mean for labor relations policy? In 2017, employers are confronted by a startling array of traditional and nontraditional labor relations challenges such as wage inequality, labor law, stable work schedules, automation, “big data” and many others. What issues should keep you up at night? What issues can you safely ignore? In this session, you will:

  • Learn how to assess your company's vulnerability to anticipated responses from labor organizations and activist groups.
  • Hear practical advice on how employers should respond in this rapidly evolving environment.
