Learn 10 ways to refocus diversity and inclusion initiatives as a robust corporate social responsibility mission without alienating key stakeholders.

Repeated from Monday at 11:00 a.m.

Why should you rethink D&I? The bigger question is, is there room for new ideas around diversity, empowerment, inclusion, opportunity, mobility and success? How do you find the courage to be a champion when you’ve forgotten why you entered the profession in the first place? Sometimes reinvention is necessary. This session will focus on reconnecting your mission and vision with your role as a D&I professional. It will challenge, inspire and motivate you to think like a pioneer and rediscover the power you hold as a champion for inclusive voices within your organization. You will learn a 10-step approach to evaluate diversity and inclusion along seven different categories: gender, age, race, level of expertise, tenure, power and competitive advantage. This session will also show you how to build a bigger tribe of champions without alienating key stakeholders. You will:

  • Hear an objective overview of what it means to continue championing D&I initiatives as the global marketplace evolves.
  • Learn how to break down walls and silos while building a tribe of new champions for diversity and inclusion.
  • Learn how to move from lofty policy to sustainable actions that move D&I initiatives solidly into a defined corporate social responsibility mission.
  • Learn how to make the business case for inclusion before the general public defines your company’s social responsibility on social media.
  • Learn how to champion and uphold the core values of D&I while finding new motivation to keep moving forward.
  • Learn how to evaluate diversity and inclusion along seven different categories: “gender, age, race, level of expertise, tenure, power and competitive advantage.
